This focused issue guest edited by Dr. Mingqiang Kang, aims to explore surgical techniques and indications on precision esophageal surgery to surgeons all around the world, which we hope to reduce the incidence of postoperative complications and improve the quality of life for patients. In this way, the issue will also be conducive to patients as well as the growth of young surgeons.
