Journal of Visualized Surgery (JOVS) will begin publishing bimonthly, starting January 2023

Since its launch in January 2015, Journal of Visualized Surgery (JOVS) keeps a continuous publication schedule so that articles are published online as soon as they are ready and as quickly as possible. Starting from January 2020, JOVS has been published quarterly. 

With the growing recognition of JOVS and our authors' continued support, JOVS’ submissions have continued to increase. As a high-quality academic exchange platform, we are committed to publishing articles quickly, allowing for impactful and potentially practice-changing articles to be available to readers as soon as possible after acceptance. Therefore, we are delighted to inform you that the JOVS will become a bimonthly publication beginning in January 2023. The regular publication months will be January, March, May, July, September, November.

The Journal of Visualized Surgery (ISSN 2221-2965; J Vis Surg; JOVS; jovs.amegroups.com) is an international peer-reviewed journal focused on visualized surgery. It aims to promote the development of surgery around the world by the sharing of surgical experience in visual media between surgeons and clinicians so that all patients may benefit. Hence, the focus of JOVS is on instructional and educational video clips, photos, schematics of visualized surgical procedures, rather than lengthy text.

JOVS is the official publication of Asia Thoracoscopic Surgery Education Program (ATEP) and its scope includes: Cardiac Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Lung Surgery, Esophageal Surgery, Gastric Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Urological Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Transplantation, Anesthesiology etc.
