Qianli Ma, MD (VATS)

Dr. Qianli Ma is a graduate of Tongji Medical University (MD). He received training in General Surgery, Thoracic Surgery at Wuhan Union Hospital and China Japan Friendship Hospital.

After completing a year working in Wuhan Union Hospital joined the faculty at China-Japan Friendship Hospital and is currently Thoracic Surgeon in China-Japan Friendship Hospital. He has been evolved in the treatment of one thousand patients. He started to perform VATS lobectomies in 2012 after learning the technique at Duke medical center to learn the double port technique with Dr. Thomas D’Amico. 

His research area is in the molecular type and molecular stage for lung cancer. He has published 25 papers (first author 17, SCI 3) in the The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Chinese Journal of Surgery, Chinese Journal of Lung Cancer, Chinese Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery. He was selected as editors in 3 books, and was invited by IASLC for oral presentation in 2013, for poster presentation in 2015. He is in charge of  two clinical research until now.
