Dr. Xuefei Yang is a graduate of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (MD, PhD). She received training in General Surgery at Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. She ever visited islet lab of the University of Pennsylvania school of medicine in 2006 and participated NIH research project about clinical islet transplantation. After completing 6-year working in Shenzhen People’s Hospital joined the faculty at the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital in 2013 and is currently Gastrointestinal Surgeon. She is Associate Consultant and Associate Chief doctor now.
Dr. Xuefei Yang concentrates on mini-invasive gastrointestinal surgery, abdominal hernia surgery, emergent gastrointestinal surgery and endoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. She has published two textbooks about mini-invasive gastrointestinal surgery and abdominal surgical emergency as vice chief editor in People’s Medical Publishing House, Beijing, China. “Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery” (2010), “ Abdominal Surgical Emergency” (2013), and she will publish the second edition of “Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery” (2010) as one of the two chief editors in People’s Medical Publishing House in 2016. She has 10 Chinese patents of surgical instruments and one Chinese invention patent. She is also very active in clinical research in special field and has published more than 10 academic articles in civil and international journals. She is responsible for clinical training of medical students and residents in routine working and is very experienced in this field.
