Jean-Marc Baste, MD, PhD

Obtained his MD degree in Bordeaux University Hospital in 1999 and PhD in Lung Transplantation in Rouen University Hospital in 2015, Dr. Baste is a cardiothoracic surgeon, working in the Clinical immersion organization in VATS and RATS, General Thoracic Surgery and also in the Proctorship program organization in VATS and RATS, Partnership with Medtronic, General Thoracic Surgery of Charles Nicolle University Hospital, Rouen. 

He was involved in Minimal Thoracic Surgery and since 2011 he and his department have developed active pedagogic sessions on VATS and RATS resection from simple to complex procedures. His expertise includes General Thoracic surgery, VATS lobectomy, Thoracoscopic Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Extensive Chest Resection for Lung Carcinoma, Lung Transplantation and research in Ischemia-Reperfusion Lesions and its Prevention. 

Apart from being invited speaker in many international conferences, Dr. Baste plays active role in numerous organizations, including the Member of Cardiothoracic Surgery Network, Member and French Regent of European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS), Secretary of French Robotic Group of SFCTCV, Member of French Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (SFCTCV), etc. He also authored abundant impressive articles in the cardiothoracic field.
