Hailiang Tang, MD (Neurosurgery)

Dr. Hailiang Tang is a graduate of Fudan University (MD). And he received training in Neurosurgery at Huashan Hospital.

After graduating from Fudan University in 2011, he joined the faculty at Huashan Hospital. He went to Loma Linda University for post-doctoral training in LAX in 2013. Now he is a Neurosurgeon at Huashan Hospital. He has been evolved in the treatment of about 2,000 patients with brain tumors, brain traumas and bleedings.

His research area is neural stem cells (NSCs), induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSs) and brain tumors. He has published more than 15 SCI papers. He was selected as editor assistants in 5 books. He was invited by World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) for oral presentation in Korea in 2013, and for poster presentation by international society for stem cells research (ISSCR) in Japan in 2012. He is in charge of three clinical studies until now. He won the National Prize for Progress in Science and technology (Second Prize) in 2014.
