Dr. Chaoyang Liang is a graduate of Hunan Medical University and Beijing Union Medical College (MD). He received training in Thoracic Surgery, and lung transplantation at China-Japan Friendship Hospital.

Dr. Liang was continually working in China-Japan Friendship Hospital as a thoracic surgeon after graduation, except worked as an oncological surgeon at Humlegaarden Cancer Clinic in Denmark from 2000 to 2001. He is one of earliest surgeons who adopt minimally invasive thoracic surgery at China-Japan friendship hospital and took part in almost all clinical application and scientific research of lung transplantation underwent at China-Japan Friendship Hospital. In 2009, after several years experience of VATS, he visited Duke medical center to learn the double port technique with Dr. Thomas D’Amico, and started to perform VATS surgery with this technique till now. Also in 2009, he visited Stanford medical center to learn lung transplantation.

Dr. Liang took part in more than 10 research projects related lung cancer, lung transplantation and VATS technique, and publish more than 50 relative manuscripts in important medical journals. He owned membership of Youth Committee of Beijing Medical Doctors Association since 2013 and Thoracic Surgical Branch of Chinese International Exchange and Promotive Association of Medical and Health Care since 2015. Also he serves on several editorial boards.
