Published: 2015-11-13
The 2nd Asia Thoracoscopic Surgery Education Program (ATEP) is going to be held in Seoul, Korea from December 4th (Fri) to December 5th (Sat), 2015.

ATEP was first organized at 2011 with the mission of education in the field of advanced thoracoscopic surgery. Through 6 events centering on educational workshops, focusing on teaching advanced thoracoscopic surgery by intensive courses, it achieved excellent results and plan to continue and increase this valuable activity. Beginning last year, ATEP has hosted an annual scientific symposium. This year, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital and ATEP will host a joint symposium in Seoul, Korea.

In the symposium, cutting-edge surgical techniques and emerging new technologies for minimally invasive thoracic surgery will be introduced. There will be one special session to be presented in the symposium-- the Dr. Naruke Memorial Session, which will be held out of respect for the late Dr. Tsuguo Naruke’s pioneering activities for developing and activating thoracoscopic surgery in the 1990’s.

As the Official Journal of ATEP and for the better communication with worldwide experts, our editors are happy to bring the Journal of Visualized Surgery to attend the symposium and provide live report. A special issue dedicated to the conference and to be published in JOVS is also on the way. During this period, we hope to meet you as our distinguished editorial board members, authors or readers during the symposium. Welcome to stop by our booth (named “AME Publishing Company”)!
